Carlia Jones
Carlia’s journey with dance began at the age of six, but her love for movement and performance started long before that, singing and dancing from the moment she could walk and talk. Dance has never been just an activity for her; it has always been her whole heart, which inspired the name HeARTbeat.
Her teaching philosophy is rooted in both discipline and care. Trained under the highly respected Erna Ackermann, she experienced a standard of excellence that was both demanding and deeply supportive. She now brings that same balance into her own teaching, creating a safe, encouraging environment where dancers feel seen and valued, while understanding the commitment and work required to grow.
Carlia is passionate about shaping not just strong dancers, but confident individuals. She believes dance builds life skills that extend far beyond the studio, discipline, resilience, teamwork, emotional expression, and self-belief.
Personal Philosophy
Dance is more than an art form—it is a tool for growth.
Carlia’s mission is to give young dancers the opportunity to pursue their passion through structured, high-quality training, while making a meaningful impact on their lives. Her ultimate goal is simple but powerful:
To make a lasting difference, both on and off the stage.

Hannah Kristen Rundle
My heart leaps for dance. It has always been a constant in my life and will continue to be so. My teaching style is open and creative – I like to give dancers the outline of the picture and allow them to colour it in their own way. This helps them develop a sense of self-identity while dancing and discover their own unique way of executing movement. And of course, I always enjoy adding a sneaky floor and leap section.
